1. Name of the Product: Oral Polio Vaccine

The live oral polio vaccine (OPV) is a trivalent vaccine containing suspensions of type 1,2 and 3 attenuated poliomyelitis viruses (Sabin strains) prepared in primary moneky kidney cell culture. Each dose contains
Poliovirus type 1 = 106.0
Poliovirus type 2 = 105.0
Poliovirus type 3 = 105.8
The vaccine contains stabilizers and traces of antibiotics.
Doses: 0.1 ml (two drops)
Packing Size: 3 ml vial contains 20 doses of OPV
Storage: Vaccine is potent if stored at -20oC for 2 years

Immunization Schedule:

Infants should get at least three doses of OPV at a minimum interval of four weeks. WHO recommends the following schedules in endemic countries; At Birth; 6, 10, 14 weeks. In non-endemic areas, first dose can be given from 6 weeks along with the first dose of DPT. OPV can be given safely and effectively at the same time as Measles, Rubella, Mumps, DPT, DT, TT, BCG, Hepatitis B, Haemophilus Influenza type b, Yellow fever vaccine and vitamin A supplement.

Product Quality & Certification:

The trivalent OPV manufactured by BIBCOL is of excellent quality and complies with the GMP requirements of Shedule M of Drugs & Cosmetics Act of Government of India.  The product undergoes extensive testing for quality assurance at various National Control Laboratories including the Central Research Institute (CRI), Kasauli (H.P) of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, before its release into the market.

2. Name of the Product: BIBZinC-20mg (Dispersible Zinc Sulphate Tablet)

   Application: Management of childhood diarrhea along with ORS

    Dosage: 1 tablet per day for 10-14 days (6 months to 5 years)

                1/2 tablet per day for 10 - 14 days (less than 6 months)
